As a Television Producer with over ten years’ experience in unscripted television shows, Kamilah Thurmon has shaped numerous TV shows from innovative initial concept, through production, to final locked cuts ready to air. She produced shows for MTV’s most viewed series ever, Jersey Shore, and Tiny & Toya, the #1 rated unscripted series debut in BET's 30-year history. In 2010, she was Co-Executive Producer of Toya: A Family Affair, a spin-off of BET's Tiny & Toya, where she wrote a network approved, 16-episode creative and lead a team of 50+ employees. She worked in various Producer capacities for shows on NBC, HGTV, VH-1, Lifetime, Oxygen and Bravo. In addition, she has developed and produced several television pilots which she pitched to major networks. Currently, Kamilah has placed her efforts toward developing Gen2Gen Media, which creates video memoirs that preserve the story of a family in their own words. Kamilah believes that passing down verbal, family stories from generation to generation defines who we are. With her background, Kamilah is experienced in the art of storytelling and she's passionate about creating content that captures the heart of people in all walks of life and letting others be inspired by them. Kamilah received her BA in Broadcast Journalism from Morgan State University.
