Chris Allen

Chris Allen is a Rap artist from Washington, DC and President of The Creative District LLC. While a student at West Virginia University studying Public Relations, Allen shared the stage with the likes of Talib Kweli, Saba, Mick Jenkins, NoName, Fat Trel, Juvenile, and Oddisee. He won CoCa-Cola's WVU Battle of the Bands twice while in college, becoming the first student to have ever done so. After competing in a Pittsburgh music competition in 2016, Allen was named the "King of the Burgh" after competing among a field of 40+ local acts. By 2018, he had amassed over 1.5 millions streams and established himself as one of the next underground artists to blow nationally.

While completing his debut EP which is Executively Produced by DC's own production duo, The HVNs, Allen has also begin to build a label and collective that is "for the artists". The Creative District will house photographers, videographers, graphic designers, rappers, singers, instrumentalists, and more. The label has plans to make Artist Development its' primary focus in 2019. "The music game is always changing. I just want to be able to put my peers and myself in a situation where we can be comfortable going into these meetings with major labels knowing that our team and foundation is already strong.", says Allen. This year, Chris Allen hopes to inspire and assist other creatives in DC in aiming for higher goals and expanding nationally.
