Panel and Performance: August Wilson’s Themes of Displacement

The museum is proud to present this collaborative program with Arena Stage in conjunction with their production of playwright August Wilson's Two Trains Running.  The panel features Denise J. Hart, MFA Associate Professor, Howard University Department of Theatre Arts plus two actors from the play in  a discussion focused on how Wilson frequently uses themes of personal and community displacement in his work.  Panel will be moderated by Dr. Sandra G. Shannon.  Dr. Shannon is a professor of African American literature at Howard University, a Wilson scholar, and Founder and President, the August Wilson Society.
