Afrovelvet is pleased to announce the 2nd installment in its series of fashion shows. The event will create a sophomore production in the A Creative DC studio space and feature fashion design, music, and visual art.
The show will be held on June 4th at the Brookland Arts Walk, 716 Monroe street, NE, from 5pm until 9pm.
The featured collection embodies artistic influence from industrialism and construction in color & materials, and foreshadow futuristic elements of architecture and building design in shape. The show’s industrial elements will be juxtaposed with raw materials.
This year’s show will also include a selection of talent. From feature sounds from DJ Babyt33th of Pittsburgh, PA to DC’s St. Clair Castro of CMVPTR CLVB. The show will also feature style expert, Earl's Closet at the opening. Sponsors include Whole Foods Market, &pizza, John Fluevog, and A Creative DC .
