Join The In Series at a café-teatro where Diana Sáez & Friends explore Latin-America’s nueva canción or trova, and its musical ancestry. Featuring songs spanning 5 Latin-American countries from the 1920s to the 1970s, this café-teatro will explore the intertwining of love and protest in songs from Cuba, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Chile, and Argentina.

Cuban Silvio Rodriguez, Chilean Victor Jara, many others, share poetic lyrics, indigenous rhythms, and a rich heritage with their romantic-pop songwriter predecessors: enjoy the ride! Abel Lopez and Diana Sáez direct this café-teatro with Cuban artists Pavel Urquiza, Rigel Perc,  and Puerto Rican pianist Suzzette Ortiz.
