Jazz and Rhythms of the World

  • Enrique V. Iglesias Conference Center 1330 New York Avenue Northwest Washington, DC, 20005 United States (map)

IDB Staff Ben Roseth's Quartet presents Ísaro. Jazz is porous music. It absorbs influences from other styles, incorporating them as part of its essence. This is brought to life by the recent recording "Ísaro", which is enriched by Colombian, Brazilian and Israeli rhythms, building on the foundation of jazz masters such as John Coltrane, Miles Davis and Duke Ellington. The Quartet (saxophone, piano, bass and drums), led by Ben Roseth (IFD/ICS), presents this fusion with joy, subtlety and passion, offering listeners a journey through geographies and emotions.
