OCTFME is supporting a new networking event that showcases the local music community called "202Creates Jazz." It is a part of OCTFME's continuing efforts to promote and highlight the activities and contributions of the local creative economy via the "Mayor Muriel Bowser Presents: 202Creates" initiative. Facilitated by the Entertainment and Creative Economy departments at OCTFME "202Creates Jazz" will be a weekly local music industry meet-up event to support the jazz community. The event series will provide a regular, weekly opportunity for jazz musicians to perform and collaborate providing an additional outlet for jazz music exposure in the District.
"202Creates Jazz" will take place every Thursday, 7-9pm at 'Drift on 7th', a culinary retreat, lounge, and seafood eatery located in Ward 1's Shaw neighborhood. The first event is scheduled for Thursday, January 19th 2017.
