UNCENSORED: The Cocktail Party 2016

UNCENSORED: The Cocktail Party is an annual fundraising event hosted by the DC Public Library Foundation on Friday, September 30 in the Great Hall of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library. UNCENSORED will feature signature cocktails representing local bartenders’ favorite banned books, live music from local bands, a pop-up market featuring exclusive items curated by style guru and event chair Jenn Barger and many other fun activities. Other event chairs include Holly Bass, DC Brau, Derek Brown, Anna Fuhrman, Mess Hall, Svetlana Legetic and Morgan Hungerford West. This is the last UNCENSORED that will take place in the current MLK Jr. Memorial Library  – MLK is set to close in Spring 2017 for a modernization, reopening in 2020. As George noted, all proceeds from the event support DC Public Library programs and services.
